Announcing NSolid Version 3.10.1

We are excited to share that NodeSource just released NSolid 3.10.1. In this version we are proud to announce the new Microsoft Teams integration along with support for Node.js Erbium v12.16.1. 🚀

This release also includes a bugfix for a bug that affected the NSolid Console’s capability to compress assets like Heap-Snapshots and CPU Profiles. The problem was identified as a change committed to Node.js Core here.

You can download NSolid 3.10.1 here or by logging into the NodeSource accounts platform here.

NSolid continues to be the only Node.js runtime solution that provides overhead-less observability of your applications’ performance, security and compliance postures in production, which you can now take advantage of by receiving automated alerts through Microsoft Teams, Slack, Webhooks and Emails 📩💥.

How it Works

Our new Microsoft Teams integration permits users to configure message notifications and webhooks that are automatically triggered when your Node.js application experiences critical performance, lifecycle, and/or security events in production. This ensures DevOps professionals looking after applications running in production can be notified of performance and security issues earlier and then collaborate in either Slack or Microsoft Teams to resolve them.

Microsoft Teams Integration

Similar to how teams configure NSolid’s Slack integration, organizations using Microsoft Teams can now configure notifications to use Microsoft Teams incoming messages feature.

Update of our compatibility information for all versions of NSolid since v3.8.1

RHEL 6/ CentOS6

Node.js is no longer supporting builds for RHEL 6 and CentOS 6 as highlighted in this issue. This means that newer versions of NSolid require RHEL 7 and CentOS 7 to run. Please feel free to contact our support team at support@nodesource.com to help with any issues you might be encountering as a consequence.

macOS Catalina

With the launch of macOS Catalina in October 2019, Apple announced that Software Notarization Before Distribution will be a set requirement which they started to enforce in February this year.
The Node.js project is actively working on a patch to their build infrastructure to integrate notarization for macOS distributions for Node.js pending hardware and software upgrades (see here).
In the meantime, users can install unnotarized applications/ software in macOS Catalina and macOS Mojave by authorizing it on the system settings window (see here).

Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions.
