San Francisco – December 20, 2018 – NodeSource, the Node.js® company, today announced the hiring of Chanda Dharap as Vice President of Engineering. Dharap’s responsibilities include overall technology strategy and direction for the development of all NodeSource product offerings.
With a solid mix of both global corporate and startup experience, Dharap has a proven track record of excellence in the the Node.js ecosystem, having previously led Engineering teams working on full-stack API frameworks built on Node.js at Strongloop (acquired by IBM). Prior to joining NodeSource, she held a product leadership role at Adobe, where she was responsible for the vision and technical direction of a next-generation search platform for Adobe’s cloud ecosystem.
“Chanda has proven leadership experience in emerging technologies and knows how to get things done,” said NodeSource CEO Thomas DeMeo. “Her past work with diverse cross-functional teams, her experience in the early Node.js ecosystem, and her intense focus on high-quality product delivery make her a valuable addition to the NodeSource team.”
Dharap holds a Masters in Computer Science as well as a Ph.D. in Computer Science, both from Pennsylvania State University. She has also earned a certificate in Strategic Decision and Risk Management from Stanford University’s Center for Professional Development.
